MISS HENNINGS TEACHES

"Hour of Code" was created as a way to increase participation in computer science and introduce anyone to basic coding, refuting the idea that computer science is inherently inaccessible and demonstrating that anyone can learn it. The one-hour modules are presented using a variety of relatable and relevant themes (e.g., Minecraft, the activity I completed) and have been developed for a wide range of ages so that truly anyone can participate. I intend to have my students complete the "Hour of Code" activity as an introduction to computer science because it does a wonderful job of presenting coding concepts in a way that seem easily comprehendible and manageable.
